Oaklands Vobis Yearling Sales 
Held on Sunday 23rd of April 2017 
A successful sale well up from last year ,congratulations to all invoved. 
Average was $22,547 Gross $4,518,500 Clearance 88 % 
Blue Gum Farm was the leading vendor , selling 14 of its 15 lots for an aggregate of $453,000

Blue Gum Farm's lot 71 Fiorente colt sells to NZ trainer Roger James for $44,000 

Trainer Shawn Mathrick gets in winning bid of $60,000 for Rangal Park's lot 92 Danerich colt

Bred by Greta West Stud, lot 47 Street Boss colt is sold by to Moloney Racing for $78,000

Greta West Stud stands Keep the Fath and King of Prussia.

Lot 56 by Written Tycoon makes $80,000 and heads to the Mick Price stable.  

Lot106 went to Goldfront Racing in WA  Helmet filly out of Smarty Jane

Bombora Downs sells its Turfontein colt to Robert Smerdon for $68,000 
Ballarto Lodge sells its Reward for Effort  colt to Regal/Bluegrass/Gelagotis Racing for $65,000

Fighting Sun Colt out of the Canny Lad mare Sinuous, bred by Two Bays Farm and sells to Anton Koolman Bloodstock for 110,000  .

Top Lot ! Flying Sun by Northern Meteor/Irish Darling 

   The Northern Meteor stallion stands at Sun Stud for 13,700 dollars. Northern Meteor a son of Encosta De Lago,while Irish Darling is a daughter of the Best Western stallion Ivory's Irish. He is free of the Danzig/Danehill line.   Sun Studs most prestigious stallion is the great Bel Esprit standing for $18,700 at their Queensland Stud with their old Danzig stallion Monashee Mountain. They also stand Fiorente son of Monsun. The Flying Spur stallion Magnus and the Storm Cat stallion Statue of Liberty at their NSW Stud.
